Many of the individuals
who are licensed and certified WeeHands Instructors are
also practicing speech language pathologists,
occupational therapists, educators and consultants. Many
have experience working with children and adults with
autism, Down syndrome, apraxia of speech and/or other
communicative disorders.

"An Introduction to Total Communication"
A 3-hour workshop that introduces the concept
of using a total communication approach (signs, speech and
symbols) with individuals with developmental disabilities. A
Participant Guidebook is included.
"Using Visual Strategies to Enhance
Understanding"
A 3-hour workshop that discusses the use of
signs, speech and symbols in teaching individuals with
developmental disabilities to understand instructions, daily
routines, etc. A Participant Guidebook is included.
"Using Visual Strategies to Enhance
Expression"
A 3-hour workshop that discusses and reviews
strategies use with individuals to help them express
themselves, using signs, symbols and/or speech. A
Participant Guidebook is included.
"EveryDay Signs in the Community"
A 6-hour workshop that introduces basic signs
and how to use them with individuals with developmental
disabilities. Includes signs related to food, daily
activities, behaviour management, etc. A Participant
Guidebook is included.
